Scandicom is a BBA registered installer for Warmcel cellulose fibre insulation which is currently one of the most energy and environmentally efficient forms of insulation available. Warmcel provides a better than zero carbon status thus making it ideal for those seeking to build within the parameters of ‘Code for Sustainable Homes’.

In conjunction with timber framing, Warmcel achieves heat retention levels far beyond those available from those methods generally used in brick and block construction. It also satisfies all appropriate government and building codes for quality, efficiency and safety.
Warmcel is made from recycled paper treated with flame retardant, and is blown into your timber wall cavities to create a snug overcoat for your house. It can also be blown onto the interior surface before the inner plasterboard is applied.

While retaining heat with supreme efficiency, Warmcel can, with the use of appropriate sheathing materials and wall finishes, allow your house to actually breathe, exhaling moisture and other vapours that can be potentially damaging in the form of mildew and rot while ensuring that vapour will not condense until outside within the atmosphere.
Warmcel calls this The Breathing Wall. Please click here to visit Warmcel site if you would like to learn more about how it works.
